Overview
of the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) Course
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) addresses many disability
concerns, but this Course brings attention to the Americans with
Disabilities Act as it pertains to speech, language and hearing
issues of individuals, employees or customers.
Part of this ADA Course(Speech-Language-Hearing Perspective) tries
to bring sensitivity training to your employees to help them experience
how it feels to have a speech, language or hearing problem
and to develop more empathy towards individuals who have communication
difficulties.
Determining
your Need for the ADA Course
The ADA Course is designed for managers who need to know how to
address the speech, language or hearing needs of both their employees
and customers. It trains employees to recognize the communication
factors that may improve and assure a pleasant work environment.
It also addresses communication issues that may affect the selling
of goods and services to customers having speech, language or hearing
concerns.
Structure of the Course
This Course requires a few hours to complete. It will undoubtedly
provide at least one new ADA (Speech-Language-Hearing) idea which
you have not considered. You may complete this Course all in one
session, or finish it section by section. This ADA overview course
encompasses a wide range of materials. It utilizes downloadable
handouts made available for an individual’s later, private,
in-depth study that can be kept for future reference after the time
period for your Course has expired. It is the learner's responsibility
to download them during the time allotted before the Course's expiration.
