Diadochokenetic
Rate Self-Assessement
This
is a repetitive speech exercise self-assessment to help you determine
if you have difficulty maintianing intelligibility when trying to
repeat a number of syllables quickly. Difficulty, particularly when
repeating a series of variable syllables, can be indictative of
a neuromuscular coordination problem of the speech mechanism, which
means you may need training in learning how to correctly pronounce
specific consonants sounds by taking the American English Consonants
Course or in learning how to control your overall speaking rate
by taking the Foreign Accent Modification Course. This self-assessment
will help you determine whether the American English Consonants
Course or the Foreign Accent Modification Course would be beneficial
for you to take.
